BIOGRAPHY
Mohamed AlRafi is the chairman of SRG Holding Group, a family investment office based in Dubai, with a legacy that spans nearly seven decades. Founded in 1958 by his late father, Abdulsalam AlRafi, the business has grown under Mohamed's leadership from its roots in commodities trading and real estate into a multibillion-dollar portfolio of premier residential, commercial, and hospitality assets, serving as a landowner, developer, operator, asset manager, leasing and sales specialist, and facilities management provider.
Within the United Arab Emirates, SRG Holding Group’s portfolio comprises a number of landmark assets, including Burj Al Salam, Marina Heights Tower, Marquise Square Tower, Upside Living, Aria Gardens, Al Salam Tecom Tower, Palacio Tower, and Grove Mall, in addition to the upcoming SRG Tower, among others. The group also owns and operates a growing hospitality portfolio under long-term franchise agreements with leading international hotel brands, including Marriott International through Sheraton Grand Dubai and IHG Hotels & Resorts through Staybridge Suites Dubai Financial Centre and Staybridge Suites Dubai Internet City, with forthcoming VOCO-branded hotels near the Mall of the Emirates.
The Holding Group's portfolio extends to the UK, with High Holborn Estate, a freehold island site in London's Midtown, encompassing nine buildings and 150,000 square feet of commercial space. The wider London portfolio includes 202 Hammersmith Road in west London, home to Victoria Beckham's global headquarters; a mixed-use office and retail space in Westbourne Grove, comprising nearly 13,000 square feet; and Castanea Court on Coombe Road in New Malden, southeast London, a 1.1-acre site consisting of a residential and retail development, alongside further development sites in south and southeast London on Streatham High Road and in Grove Park, Lewisham. Additionally, SRG Holding Group has private equity investments across Europe and the United States, spanning real estate, biomedical technology, and medical devices.
Beyond his role in the family business, Mohamed holds partnerships and investments across various sectors, including sport, hospitality, and travel. His affiliations span the professional 3-on-3 basketball league BIG3, the basketball club CB Marbella, the Berlin-based restaurant and lounge Anima, and the global authority in luxury hospitality Forbes Travel Guide, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2017, contributing to the company's strategic direction.
Extending his influence into the creative industries, Mohamed is a seasoned film producer and the founder of 50 Degrees Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based production and finance company that backs independent projects featuring internationally recognised actresses and actors such as Jennifer Aniston, Emilia Clarke, and Theo James. He is also the founder of Moe's Records, an independent music platform focused on curated, genre-spanning releases and collaborations. Other ventures under Mohamed include hospitality venues in Dubai, as well as service-based businesses within the beauty and personal care industry.
Alongside his business activities, Mohamed is a dedicated philanthropist with a focus on initiatives in healthcare, education, and community development throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Most notably, he has established the Abdulsalam AlRafi Dialysis Center in Dubai, a specialised facility dedicated to providing critical care for regional kidney dialysis patients in partnership with Dubai Health Authority.
